I was honestly pretty scared that this film wasn't going to be all that good, since the book is one of my favourites. However, i was relying on the fact that the author himself - the brilliant Steven Chbosky - was the director.
And, as it turns out, it was perfect.
I didn't think Logan Lerman's acting was very good in the beginning of the film. I thought he was kind of out of character, but as the film progressed, I thought he did a better job of portraying Charlie.
Emma Watson is absolutely adorable. You could hear her English accent sometimes, but she was an excellent Sam.
Ezra Miller was an absolutely perfect Patrick, and reminded me of how much I adored his character.
I didn't like that they didn't include Candace's pregnancy, and when she goes to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show with Charlie. In the book, I felt like she and Charlie were really close, and I don't think they did very well with showing that in the film.
The film was, overall, absolutely brilliant. I cried through the entire thing. Definitely recommend seeing it.
